Use strong, high-quality packaging materials: We recommend a minimum of a 2-ply outer cardboard box to ensure your items are well-protected during transit.

Fragile items: These should be cushioned well from all sides, particularly at the bottom of the box. Mark boxes as “Fragile” and use ‘arrow up’ stickers to indicate the correct orientation.

Reusing packaging: If reusing boxes, remove all old labels, including any hazardous materials information stickers, and make sure there is no visible damage to the box.

Sharp items: If shipping sharp objects, securely wrap them to prevent piercing through packaging materials. Please note that knives cannot be shipped through Z Logistics.

Choose the correct-sized box: A box that's too large may collapse, while a box that's too small can burst during transit. Always use the right-sized box to secure your items, and use bubble wrap, packaging chips, shredded paper, or even old newspapers to cushion the contents.

Sealing your parcel: Use strong packaging tape (not domestic adhesive tape) or a strapping machine to secure your parcels. Ensure that all flaps are tightly fastened.

Weight considerations: Avoid overloading boxes. Ensure the weight of the contents is evenly distributed and not too heavy for the box.

Labeling: Labels should be printed clearly and be easy to read. We recommend using a laser printer when printing on paper. Ensure the label is placed in a visible spot for easy scanning.

Secure high-value items: Items that are identifiable and valuable should be packed in their manufacturer’s original packaging, then placed in an additional protective outer box or bag for extra security.

Sender and address information: Include both the sender’s and recipient's address inside the package, in case the outer label becomes detached. This helps Z Logistics safely deliver your parcel.

Packaging liquids and powders: Liquids, semi-liquids, powders, and strong-smelling substances should be sealed in leak-proof containers, wrapped in sealed plastic bags, and stored upright in a strong (minimum 2-ply) box. Ensure these are labelled with ‘arrow up’ stickers.

Perishable goods: Z Logistics does not provide refrigerated vehicles. For perishable items, use coolant gel packs, insulating packaging, reusable ice packs, or dry ice to keep goods fresh during transit.

Shipping wines and spirits: For single-bottle items, ensure that each bottle is secured within a box and either has a rigid neck support or is wrapped in bubble wrap. Place the bottle in an inner box, and then add rigid outer packaging, such as corrugated cardboard or foam dividers. Bespoke packaging for bottles is highly recommended.
