Humble Beginnings

The Zedcarz story began back in 1992 when Zed Juneja, a corporate logistics manager, took matters into his own hands. Frustrated by the lack of quality service from private hire firms, he created something better - Zedcarz.


Starting with just a small office at Tolworth Station, Zedcarz began with three drivers, including Zed himself. However, word quickly spread about the exceptional service and reliability they provided. In just two years, Zedcarz grew to include over 30 vehicles to meet the increasing demand.


With a focus on meeting the needs of both corporate and leisure travellers, Zedcarz became known for their superior customer service. Reliability and comfort are at the heart of every experience with Zedcarz, making them the go-to choice for transportation.


Today, Zedcarz continues to thrive as a trusted provider, serving a wide range of long-standing clients, from corporate executives to families and individual leisure travellers.

Expansion

Over the past 15 years, Zedcarz has strategically acquired 11 well-established private hire firms. These acquisitions have been a key part of our plans to broaden our services and cater to a wider range of clients across Surrey and the surrounding areas.



These acquired firms have a rich history, with some dating back as far as 1966. They have been industry leaders in chauffeur services, airport transfers, school runs, hospital work, and both long and short distance transfers. By incorporating these firms into our operations, we have been able to enhance our service offerings and provide a comprehensive solution for our valued clients.

Overcoming Adversity

Zedcarz, throughout its long years in operations, has faced numerous struggles. However, none were as impactful as the COVID-19 pandemic. With travel restrictions imposed and people urged to stay at home, our business faced a significant decline in demand.



Fortunately, our contracts in healthcare catering to several hospitals and pharmacies in the local area provided a lifeline. Although the need for travel was greatly reduced, we were able to continue serving these essential establishments.


During this tough period, difficult decisions had to be made to ensure the survival of our business. We implemented cost-cutting measures and streamlined our operations, all with the goal of keeping Zedcarz afloat.


After months of perseverance and determination, we managed to weather the storm. As restrictions eased and the world began to recover, Zedcarz emerged from the crisis stronger than ever before. Our commitment to providing exceptional service and adapting to the changing landscape allowed us to not only survive but thrive.

The Next Generation

In March 2021, Zed Juneja, made a significant decision by appointing his son, Rahan Juneja, as the Director of Zedcarz. This appointment brought a new wave of passion and vision to the business. Rahan is a forward-thinking individual with a keen interest in technology and automation. He aims to modernise its operations while staying true to the core principle that Zedcarz has always stood by - providing an exceptional service and reliability.

EXPANDING OUR COURIER SERVICES

Mogal Cars & Couriers has been specialising in same-day and next-day deliveries for over 60 years. In 2016, we acquired Mogal Cars, further enhancing our ability to provide fast, reliable deliveries to businesses and individuals while solidifying our reputation as a trusted leader in the courier industry.

In July 2024, we expanded further by welcoming experienced professionals from CYC Logistics, which is now part of CitySprint. These team members bring with them over 30 years of expertise in same-day, next-day, and international courier services. This invaluable experience strengthens our ability to meet a broader range of delivery needs and positions us as a comprehensive logistics provider.

To support this growth, we’ve made significant investments in a modern fleet, including motorbikes, small and medium vans, long wheelbase vans, and Lutons. This allows us to handle everything from urgent local deliveries to larger, more complex shipments efficiently.

Looking ahead, we are excited to launch our international courier services in Q1 of 2025. This expansion will enable us to offer seamless global delivery solutions while continuing to maintain the fast and reliable service our clients rely on locally.

Zedcarz Today

Zedcarz has proudly completed over 1.8 million trips and delivered more than 36,000 parcels, serving both corporate and personal clients. With over 600 corporate accounts and 400 individual accounts, Zedcarz has earned a reputation as a reliable and trusted name in transportation and logistics.

This year marks a transformative chapter for Zedcarz, highlighted by a significant expansion and a strategic restructuring of its leadership team. These changes have established a strong foundation to support the company’s ambitious growth plans over the next five years and beyond.
